Further Information

These systems are designed in close consultation with the user to meet specific experimental requirements and are typically implanted in 3 stages. Designs require a structural MRI scan and specification of neural targets. A CT scan is also helpful to delineate the cranial bone. Modeling of the bone and neural targets are done in 3D-Slicer and all components are designed in Solidworks.

An exploded view of a complex mechanical and electronic device with various components, including a transparent outer shell, circuit boards, and structural elements.
