The Gray Matter Research primate chair system is built to be stable & durable. The docking station is made with 2×2 inch extruded aluminum and sits atop a rigid base plate which is bolted to the ground. The low center of gravity primate chair is guided into position using the alignment grooves in the docking station. Four clamps hold the chair securely in the docking station.

There are two options for head fixation. 1) The articulating clamp system for use with traditional headposts or 2) The halo frame system
